| Guest lecture at SMVDU on growth | | | KATRA, FEBRUARY 20 A high profile lecture on ‘Go and Grow with Customers is the Big Globalization Strategy’ was delivered by eminent academician of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi at the Business Management College of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University this morning, Discussing strategic management and paradox of flexibility, Prof Sushuil Kumar insisted that quickness in responding to changes in customer’s behavior is essential for dynamic business scenario. He suggested change when one is at the peak of the performance and has to define a new performance curve. He substantiated his arguments by illustrating classic examples particularly on cannibalization of Microsoft, core competencies of Sony, Honda, Motorola, and technologies of Intel, Xerox, Ford, GM, and reviving strategy of IBM etc. In an interactive session, the academician dwelt of changing business scenario in the world with India playing a much more vibrant role at the strength of its human resource and potential to give a stiff competition. He focussed on the pragmatic application of Blue Ocean Strategy which emphasizes on making the competition irrelevant if one wants to grow. He said that the big globalization strategy today is “Go and Grow with your customers”. The organizations should act like a flowing stream that is continuing and changing. The University has planned guest lectures at the initiative of Vice Chancellor Prof N K Bansal for giving wider exposure to its scholars at national and international levels. |
