Till now, tickets were issued only on the day of the travel but this practise has been done away with now, he told PTI.
"All the four counters at the Old Delhi Railway Station can now issue reserved travelling tickets for the Samjhauta Express and the Attari Special Train between Delhi and Attari 15 days in advance after showing the required documents," Rajiv Saxena, CPRO Northen Railway, said.
"This change has been done to avoid any rush on the day of travelling and to have ample time for the officials to check the ticket requirements," he added.
After the Panipat blasts in the Attari special feeder train for Samjhauta Express, the Railways had suspended all unreserved travelling in the trains with immediate effect. |
