| DB directs Div Com, others for demarcation of the Patnitop resort | | | Jammu, Feb 21
In a much publicized Public Interest Litigation regarding encroachment of land at Patnitop , the Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu wing comprising Chief Justice BA Khan and Justice JP Singh directed Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Deputy Commissioners Udhampur and Doda and Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu and Chief Executive Officer Patnitop Development Authority to take immediate steps for demarcation of the territorial limits of the Patnitop resort and the area falling within the jurisdiction of the Development Authority for its fencing to secure the area and prevent any further encroachment in the area.
DB directed the Registrar Judicial to serve this order on the authorities concerned and they shall have complete the demarcation within four weeks and simultaneously submit the estimates to concerned competent authority for fencing/walling of the area as may be deemed appropriate. With these observations the DB directed Chief Executive Officer Patnitop Development Authority to submit its status report indicating compliance of Court orders passed from time to time.
