| Samaj Kalyan Deaf, Dumb School to receive adequate Govt aid: Nehru | | | JAMMU, FEBRUARY 21
Director Social Welfare visited Samaj Kalyan Kendra, Shahidi Chowk Jammu where High School for Deaf and Dumb has been established here today. He assured the school authority for adequate aids in the shape of Grant-in-aid being given by the department. During 2005-06 an amount of Rs. 184470 has been given to the school by the social welfare department for managing day to day affairs of the school. During the current year an amount of Rs. 190686 has been recommended to Government for sanction. The school authorities have also been asked to come up with project proposal for establishment of hostel for the inmates so that necessary sanction for the same is obtained for central social welfare ministry.
Mr. Satish Nehru also has surprise inspection of various anganwari centres in Jammu Block and took stock of functioning.
