| Over Rs. 43.74 cr spent on dev works in Rajouri | | | RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 21 An expenditure of over Rs. 43.74 crore has been incurred on implementation of various welfare schemes and execution of developmental works in district Rajouri during the first 11 months of the current financial year. This was revealed at a meeting of sectoral officers held here today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mr. Parvez Malik. Among others Additional District Development Commissioner, Mr. K. L. Khajuria, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Planning Officer attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that against the target of 76.28 crore earmarked for the current fiscal, over Rs. 43.74 crore have so far been utilized. The expenditure include over Rs. 5.86 crore incurred on agriculture and allied sectors followed by Rs. 2.79 crore on rural development, Rs. 1.22 crore under industries, Rs. 4 crore on communication. Rs. 49.50 lakh on power development, Rs. 27 crore on social and general services and Rs. 2.29 crore on planning machinery and others. While speaking the DDC laid stress for early completion of ongoing development works before end of February this year. He asked the executing agencies to redouble their efforts so that the targets fixed for the current year could be completed in all respect.
