Poonch Feb 22 NSS Unit of Govt Girls Hr Sec School, Sheesh Mahal, in collaboration with NSS, Co-coordinator, University of Jammu organised two day workshop on the theme “Healty Youth Youth for Healty India” in which about seventy NSS Volunteers participated. The workshop was inaugurated by S.S. Dutta, CEO, Poonch after lightening the traditional lamp. He hoped that such of workshop will create awareness amongst adolescent’s girls particularly sanitation, moral values, fatal diseases like HIV/ AIDS, drug addiction etc. He expressed his gratitude to Jasbir Singh, NSS, Co-ordinator, JU for providing every sort of help to organize such type of workshop. Prof. B.S. Azad, Ex- DEPO, Prof. M.H. Shah, Dr. S.D. Sharma, Ex- Principal and Dr. Sunita Gupta, Physician were the resource persons in the workshop. They also gave special lectures on various issues relating to main theme and other health problems of the adolescents. NSS volunteers cleared their queries during the panel discussion with the resource persons. In the valedictory function, Jagjit Singh, SSP, Poonch was chief guest. While speaking on the occasion, he said that such type of workshop shall prove beneficial for the nurturing future citizens of the country. He congratulated P.S. Sudan, Principal of the school for the successful conduct of the workshop. Others who spoke on the occasion were J.S. Aggarwal, NSS, PO A.S. Josh, Municipal Councilor, Prof Haqkikat Singh GDC, Poonch, M.A. Qadari, etc.
