| Revolutionary step towards economic emancipation’ | | District Congress Committee hails Roshni Act | | POONCH FEB-22-
District Congress Committee in its meeting here today has welcomed the Roshni Act passed by the State legislature in amended form and described it a revolutionary step towards the economic emancipation of the rural people, especially the peasantry class.
The meeting chaired by Secretary Guerdev Singh was among others attended by Yash Paul Sharma General Secretary PCC, Rajinder Singh President Municipality Poonch, Mohammed Zaman District Bar President, Amar Singh Josh Councilor, Zafar Ullah DCC President, Balbir Singh, Ashaque Hussain Block President Mand, Ghulam Qadir and Gurbakash Singh.
The speakers at the meeting felt the need for creating awareness among the people about the salient features of the Act and also the other measures taken by the Congress led government in the state for boosting the rural economy of the state and ensuring balanced development of all the regions of the state.
The speakers impressed upon the party activists to fan out in the rural areas and apprise the people about various schemes launched by the government for the welfare of the masses. The need is to focus on the problems confronting the people and seek remedial measures, the speakers at the meeting felt.
