| One HM militant arrested in Pulwama | | | Srinagar, February 22
Pulwama police today apprehended one HM militant in the area and recovered some ammunition from his possession. He has been identified as Bashir Ahmad Wagay son of Gh. Mohd resident of Kiloora Malikgund after getting specific information today.
According to SSP Pulwama Nitish Kumar, the said militant Bashir Ahmad Wagay son of Gh. Mohd who is resident of Kiloora Malikgund joined with militancy in the year 1990, and crossed Loc for obtaining illegal arms training in POK. After obtaining arms training in various terrorist camps in POK Bashir came back to Kashmir in September 2000 via Poonch after a period of 09 years. He has been associated with HM militant outfit and has taken active part in the subversive activities in Kashmir. He further said that on specific information the subject was apprehended by a joint Naka party of police Pulwama and 44 RR Army at Pinjoora Shopian along with one wireless set and one hand grenade. Case FIR No. 23/07 stands registered in police station Shopian. The said militant is a hardcore terrorist of HM outfit and has remained actively involved in subversive activities in Shopian and surrounding areas since last six years.
