| Daya Ram Daya gets National Theatre Award | | |

Daya Ram Daya ; a young talented theatre artist of ‘Jammu and Kashmir Art and Artist club’ has been awarded the prestigious National Theatre Award 2006-07. The award distribution ceremony shall be held at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra, Noida (U.P.) on March 15th this year.
Daya Ram Daya, known for his literary activities in the state has also been associated with local theatre ‘Duggar Manch’ and ‘Smooth Theatre for the last 15 years. He has performed in more than fourty full length plays and around 300 ‘Nukkad Natak’ street plays.
His much talked about performance are in plays like ‘Maha-Brahmana’, Edipus, Dak Ghar, Ik Ladai Hoar, Apti Dafli Apna Raag, Ajnabi, Alhad Gooli Veer Sapahi and Gauebu Da Shilla.
Another attribute of Daya Ram Daya is that he is a dogri poet as well. All the literary organization and personalities have hailed this award and congratulated him for bringing laurels to the state.
