| GDC Samba felicitates winners of inter collegiate annual athlete meet | | |
Samba: Government Degree College (GDC) Samba has felicitated its students, who had won medals in inter collegiate annual athlete, which was held at University of Jammu.
As per press release, the students of GDC, Samba had won six gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.
Principal of the college, Dr S P Sharma, congratulated the participants on their brilliant performance and encouraged them to participate in such competitions which help in the overall development of their personality. He also congratulated the members of the sports board for the historical achievement of the college. Suchi Devi student of B.A part 1 excelled in the competition by winning three gold medals in the three competitions. She participated in 5000, 1500 and 800 meter race and also got the recognition as Best Athlete for her golden performance. Rakesh Kumar won two gold medals in 5000 and 1500 meter race. Lal chand won the gold medal in 10000m race and long jump respectively where as bandana devi won bronze medal in 1500m race. |
