| EJAC welcomes Cabinet decision | | | early times report Srinagar, Feb. 18 : Employees Joint Action Committee (K) has hailed the decision of the state government whereby it had appointed Mohammad Iqbal Khanday as new Chief Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir state. EJAC expressed satisfaction over the decision and hoped that new Chief Secretary would solve the issues of State employees. "We welcome the decision of the Cabinet. Khanday Sahab is a renowned, dynamic and intelligent officer. His services on the post will definitely reap the welfare to the people of State at large", said EJAAC President Mohammad Khursheed Aalam. "We're optimistic that he'll look into the genuine long pending demands of the State employees and would end deadlock between the employees and hteauthorities", said Aalam. Pertinently, A 1977 batch IAS officer of J & K cadre, Muhammad Iqbal Khanday was today appointed as new Chief Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir state. This was decided in the meeting of the state cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here this morning. |
