| Ten day workshop on RMASPSSDA commence at JU | | |

Jammu, Feb 18: The ten days long workshop on Research Methodology and Application of SPSS for Data Analysis (RMASPSSDA) organized by Department of Statistics and Department of Economics, University of Jammu was commenced today.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. M P S Isher on February 18. "The ten day's workshop is supported by the Indian Council of Social Science
Research (ICSSR) as part of its nationwide initiative to raise the quality of research in the Social Sciences in the country particularly among SC and ST researchers. The workshop is being attended by the participants from all cross the Northern States of India. Eminent Statistician and researchers will deliver the lectures in the coming days of the workshop which will enhance the research skill of the participants. The focus of the workshop is on the using of statistical
Vice-Chancellor in his inaugural address emphasized on the importance of research methodology workshop for research scholars. He advised the course organizer to hold such courses as a regular feature so that skills of research worker can be sharpened.
The Dean, Research, Prof. Rekha Choudhary in her address chalked out the need of such workshop for the research workers especially in social sciences stating that with knowledge and applications of
Statistical theory to the data collected will give an impetus to the ongoing research. |
