Kathua, Feb 18: Reacting to recent hike in fuel charges, a large number of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) activists and workers today staged protest and also burnt the effigy of union government to register their resentment. Amid sloganeering against union government for ever rising prices of essential commodities and daily hiking prices of diesel and petrol and demanding early roll back of the same, the protestors led by S Surinder Singh, District President People's Democratic Party (PDP) Kathua burnt the effigy of union government. They alleged that central government have succumbed to petroleum companies who are running the Indian government be alloyed that petroleum ministry is befooling the nation about loses. PDP district general secretary Mohd Rafi and Kuldeep Raj while addressing protestors alleged that common man has been most victimized by the corrupt UPA government. |
