Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 18: Activists of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir on Monday took out a protest march, against escalating inflation rate. According to a press release, the activists under the leadership Ashok Gupta assembled outside Raghunath Mandir and amid sloganeering they took out a procession Hari Market which concluded at Press Club Jammu. While castigating the Union government, Ashok Gupta said that the way petrol and diesel rate was revised, the day was not for when the price of petrol would reach at Rs. 100 per liter petrol. "It effects to all other essential item of routine use and making difficult for a common man to survive" he rued. Gupta further said that in J&K, 41 % people were below poverty line and as per the latest survey the district Ramban, Doda, Kisthwar, Kathua were among the most poorest. He further said that authority which has failed to provide basic amenities to people has no right to remain in power. Raj Kumar, Surinder Singh, Vikram Sharma, Sushil Kumar, Guddu were among the protesters. |
