Jammu, Feb 18: Sericulture department on Monday send a batch of 20 silkworm rearers, for seven days study cum training programme in Punjab and Haryana. As per press release, director Sericulture Dhanbir Singh flagged off the batch from Sericulture Complex BC Road Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Dhanbir Singh said that under ATMA (Centrally Sponsored Scheme), an amount of Rs. 16.67 lakhs was earmarked for Jammu Division for the fiscal 2012-13 for conducting interstate tours, establishment of demonstration plots and holding awareness/Kissan Melas in all the districts of the division. |
