JAMMU | FEB 23 Continuing its drive against encroachments, the Jammu Municipal Corporation today removed encroachments from several places and seized five truck loads of good and articles. The Enforcement team of the Corporation led by Chief Enforcement Officer, with the assistance of Nawabad Police, today undertook an extensive tour of Jewel area, below Gumat, canal road. Canal head and Akhnoor road and removed encroachments from the footpaths, pavements and some parts of roads as well and seized five truck loads of goods. The goods seized included Bhattis, baskets, counters, steel racks, tar-pals, benches, rehires, drums, vegetables bags, sign boards, flower pots, blankets, crates, weighing scales, pipes and some other articles, a hand out of the Corporation claimed. The enforcement wing is also reported to have demolished a stair case at Prem Nagar, a wall at Lower Roop Nagar and also fencing raised on Government land at Akhnoor road.
