| INTUC, Seva Dal hail Niaz’s election as MLC | | | BHADERWAH | FEB 23
Indian National Trade Union Congress and Congress Seva Dal have hailed the unopposed election of Mohammed Sharief Niaz as Member of the State Legislative Council and congratulated him on his becoming the member of the Upper House.
Addressing media persons here today, the INTUC District President Tariq Hussain Zargar and District Secretary Ghulam Mohammed Malik have described the election of Niaz as MLC, unopposed, as the victory of secular and democratic forces of the State and hoped that Doda district would receive a new impetus to march forward under his dynamic leadership.
Appreciating Chief Minister for fielding Niaz as the Party’s candidate for filling up the vacancies of MLCs, the INTUC leaders said that with the inclusion of Niaz in the Legislature, Doda has received due representation.
Recalling the contribution of Niaz as a Minister in the Mufti led Government, the INTUC leaders said that the Doda district which has been relegated to the background by the previous regimes, witnessed massive development like roads, health institutions, schools apart from strengthening the Congress party at the grass roots level
R.R.Dar District Press Secretary also congratulated Niaz on his election as MLC and hoped that he would continue to serve the people of the District with more vigour. Those present on the occasion were Din Mohd Mir District Secretary, Mukhtyar Ahmed Mir, Naresh Raina, Romesh Razdan, Angreez Singh and Shalinder Singh.
The Congress Seva Dal activists has alsocongratulated Niaz on his election as MLC and hoped that the Congress party would be further strengthened under his dynamic leadership.
