| ‘Solution of Kashmir issue lies on talks’, Awami Tehrek | | | Jammu | Feb 23 ‘Saying that the gun is no solution to any problem, the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Tehrek expressed the hope that the dialogue process between India and Pakistan would lead to an amicable solution of the vexed Kashmir issue’. The Tehrek in a meeting held under chairmanship of its President Mohammed Altaf Dar said that dialogue between India, Pakistan and the people of the State and that of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, would ultimately help to overcome the vexed Kashmir problem which has been a bone of contention between the two countries for the last nearly 60 years. ‘This is proper time when all the separatist groups, social groups and all the political parties of the state should use one plate from for the unity, peace and prosperity of the entire state’, he added. He appealed the separatist groups and all other political parties to forge unity and formulate a common agenda in the larger interests of the people of the state so that the present turmoil is put to an end. Those present at the meeting were, Shah-Ali-Mohammed, Geneneral Secretary, Subash Sharma, Maqbool Parray, Sheikh Abdul Salam and Vijay Molla.
