| Girl ends life, housewife attempt suicide | | | Srinagar | Feb 23
A teen aged girl committed suicide in Budgam district, while a house wife made an abortive bid to end her life by consuming poisonous substance at her residence in Anantnag district.
According to reports, a teen aged girl consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Danas village of Budgam district, late on Thursday evening.
When the family members noticed her in unconscious condition she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. The deceased was identified as Rubeena daughter of Ghulam Ahmed Rather.
Police said that a case has been registered and investigation was being conducted to know the reason behind the suicide.
Meanwhile, a police spokesman said that a house wife was admitted in Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in a serious condition when she took some poisonous substance. She has been identified as Rafia Begum, wife of Farooq Ahmad Dar of Donipura Anantnag, the patient was reportedly in critical condition.
