| Basic foundation course for PRIs concludes in Surankote | | | et plus report Poonch, Mar 2: Basic foundation, training of elected representative to Panchyati Raj Institutions in Surankote block concluded here today. Anwar Hussain Shah, ADDC Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion while Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director Employment presided over the function. In three days training programme more than 500 elected Sarpanchs and Panchs were imparted training about salient features of Panchayati Raj Act, powers, function and responsibilities of sarpanchs, panchs, conduct of panchayat business and gram sabha, role of Panchyati Adalat, planning implementation and monitoring of central and state sponsored Schemes, social audit and Right to Information ACT. Speaking on the conclusion day Sarpanchs and Panchs expressed satisfaction over the training and assured the officials of their full cooperation in the developmental activities in future also. Speaking on the occasion Anwar Hussain Shah, ADDC Poonch said" by subordinating 14 departments to Panchayats, the Government has revolutionized the administrative process. He said that in future all the developmental activities would be implemented after discussing the plans with concerned Panchayats. He also distributed certificates among the participants. District Panchayat officer Poonch Hitesh Gupta, BDO Surankote Sukhpal Singh and Inspector Ramesh Sharma, Sarpanch Ayoob Shabnam, Mohd Azam also spoke on the occasion. |
