| BJP to support Dhodha for forthcoming council elections | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 3: BJP has decided to support independent candidate Shibban Krishan Dhodha in the forthcoming election to Legislative Council, the votes for which will be cast on March 7.
Making this announcement today, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma said that a general consensus has emerged in the party, including the Party's State Legislature Group of MLAs, to support the candidature of Shibban Krishan Dhodha, who has filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate and is not affiliated to any political party.
He said that the party has also taken strong consideration of the fact that Dhodha belongs to displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, for the cause of which the BJP has constantly struggled and will continue to do so in future as well. |
