| OBCs criticize state Government | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 2: All J&K OBCs today criticized the state government for creating an artificial group of Backward classes under the garb of "Backward Area" only to give the undue benefits of 23% Vertical reservation to the Kith and Kins of State Rulers at the cost of real OBCs identified by Mandal commission for J&K state.
According to a press release, a meeting of All J&K OBCs Mahasabha Shakti Nagar-Rajpura unit was held under the chairmanship of Sansar Chand, President of the unit. Kasturi Lal Basotra, President All J&K was the Chief Guest while Jagdish Raj Pandey, President OBCs Mahasabha Jammu-Poonch Constituency was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion the speakers said that real OBCs have been compelled by state rulers to live of second class citizen in the state as their fundamental Constitutional rights 27% reservation Guaranteed by the Supreme Court of India has not been implemented in J&K state services despite the Judgment 1992 of Supreme Court. They said, "The State Government is making an expenditure of Rupees in crores per year on OBCs Development Board, but it has become a puppet in the hands of state rulers due to which the output of the Board is zero." In the meeting it was also decided to hold peaceful protest Mashal-Rally from Gurha Morh, Bakshi Nagar near Vishwkarma temple on March 5 at 4.00p.m. |
