| Deputations call on Azad | | |
Srinagar, August 02: A number of deputations and individuals from various parts of the state called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad during public hearing this morning and apprised him of their problems and demands.
A deputation from Trehgam, Kupwara led by Mr. Ghulam Rasool Kar MLC urged Mr. Azad for creation of a new tehsil at Trehgam.
The deputationists also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister detailing their demands.
Another deputation led by Deputy Speaker State Legislative Assembly Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone called on Mr. Azad and demanded creation of a new tehsil at Hajin.
The deputation from Bhalessa area of Doda district pleaded for plying of SRTC buses from Jammu and Doda to Gandoh to facilitate the people. They also demanded compensation to the farmers whose maize and other crops have been damaged due to wind and hailstorm in Changa, Samai, Soti, Kilhotran, Hilloran and other areas of Bhalessa.
A deputation of unemployed electrical engineers also met Mr. Azad and apprised of their problems.
Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and said that their demands would be looked into. |
