Peerzada releases special issue of ‘Udaan’

Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed released a special issue of ‘Udaan’ a journal published by Plus Two Lecturers’ Association at a simple but impressive function held here today.
Minister of State for Education Mr. Manjeet Singh and Secretary Education Mr. Khazer Mohammad Wani and other senior officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
Speaking after releasing the journal, Peerzada suggested for publishing half yearly journal on the achievements of the Education Department and policy programmes initiated by the government for improvement of the education system, besides containing suggestions from reputed educationists on the subject.
Detailing the steps being taken by the government for streamlining the department, he said that after the expansion of the education network in the state government is now concentrating on the consolidation of infrastructure in the newly opened and upgraded schools. He said “besides this, my attention would also be directed towards evolving a mechanism for affecting transfers of teaching staff to ensure smooth functioning of all schools in the sate”.
Referring to the issues raised by the representatives of the Plus Two Lecturers’ Association, Minister said that government has already taken up the matter of removing anomalies in promotions and salaries and some thing substantial would come out soon., particularly about the regularization of Incharge
Manjeet Singh also assured the gathering about early redressal of their problems and appealed the Association to extend cooperation in ensuring punctuality in schools. He said that Government is committed to redress their all genuine problems but the teaching fraternity has to understand their responsibility in their role is to shape the future of young minds and prepare them to compete in different fields as per changed scenario, he added.
He also congratulated the Association for releasing the special Issue of the Journal.
