| Workshop on career management organized | | | JAMMU |FEB 24
Centre for Adult Continuing and Extension (student placement cell), University of Jammu organized workshop on Career Management and job skills in Government Women College Gandhi Nagar here today. Over 200 students of college participated in the program. The aim behind organizing the workshop was to enhance the employability skills of the students to make them competent and to prepare them professionally.
The main focus in the workshop was on understanding the career planning process, preparing the career plan for one-self, understanding the need of the employee and job market and how to create a bridge between existing and desired skills.
Two eminent counselors from Delhi Usha Albuqrque, Director Career smart and Sushma Singh, an expert psychologist from career smart accompanied the key speakers.
Prof. Veena Gupta, Principal of the College welcomed all the guests.
Prof. Poonam Dhawan enumerating the aims and objectives of the workshop she appreciated Vice Chancellor University of Jammu for initiating such workshops for the colleges.
Sita Anand, Deputy Counselor University of Jammu and Prof. Hemla Aggarwal H.O.D. of Home Science GWC Gandhi Nagar coordinated the program.
