| Theft case solved, three arrested | | | Doda | Feb 24 Doda Police has claimed to have solved the theft case in which the items worth Rs 62000 were stolen from four shops at Bhella area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri during the intervening night of September 30, 2006. According to reports, some unknown persons committed theft in four shops at Bhella under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri and took away different items worth Rs 62000/-. In this regard case FIR No 42/ 2006 under section 380, 457 RPC was registered in Police Station Thathri. Thereafter, SSP Doda constituted a Police team to investigate the case. During the course of investigation, raids were conducted at different places to nab the culprits. Today three accused namely Adil Qayoom Ganaie, son of Mazhar Qayoom Ganaie, Fiaz Ahmed, son of Shamas Din, both residents of Sadiq Abad Kishtwar and Jamsheed Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Amritgarh Thathri involved in the case, have been arrested. From their possession one Colour TV, one Mobile Phone, six shirts, four pants and three pair shoes recovered. The accused are being questioned to know about their associates and modus operandi and involvement in other cases etc. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
