| Sadhotra condemns Police action at Mishriwalla | | | Jammu | Feb 24
The Provincial President National conference Ajay Sadhotra has strongly condemned the police action at Mishriwalla, resulting into the death of Kewal Ram, chowkidar.
Expressing serious concern over the rise in such incidents the NC leader has urged the Chief Minister to intervene, and order a judicial enquiry and take effective remedial measures to ensure that the police perform its basic role of protecting life and property of a common man instead of harassing and killing the innocent people. He said such acts are creating a sense of mistrust and alienation among the common masses, which is a very dangerous trend, and asked the government to register murder case against the culprit and provide employment to the next kith and kin of the deceased beside compensation of Rs. two lakh as ex-gratia relief.
Sadhotra expressed sympathies with the deceased family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
