| Election of Niaz to council celebrated | | | Jammu Feb 25
To celebrate election of Mohammad Sharief Niaz, as member in the Upper House various Congress workers and prominent citizens from all over the state came in different processions beating drums to the residence of Niaz for conveying their heartiest congratulations.
The delegations among other who visited from Kathua led by Shri Krishan Chand Sapolia, and Gujjar Backerwal deputation led by Ch. Din Mohammad, Ch. Hakim Din from the same District, from Rafiabad, Srinagar the deputation was led by Shri Abdul Hamid Batt, Senior Vice President of J&K Youth Congress, from Poonch Mendher the deputation was led by Shri Mumtaz Khan, from Rajouri District the deputation was headed by Advocate Masood Naseem Chowdhari and another led by Ch. Munshi Khan, from Jammu & Kashmir Trade Union Congress led by its President Shri Sewa Ram Sharma, J&K PHE Union led by its President Shri Bakshi Singh & its Vice President Shri Omkar Sharma, from Kupwara District the delegation was led by Shri Mukhtar Shah from Bhalessa of District Doda the procession was led by Shri Sat Paul Parihar as well Om Parkash Parihar, Block President, Gandoh and from tehsil Kishtwar headed by Shri Parey Lal Shan, General Secretary, Youth Congress Committee, from Udhampur the procession was led by Shri Javed Ahmed, from Bhaderwah it was led by Shabir Khan, Block President, from Assar it was led by Shri Sham Lal Bhagat and from Marmat it was led by Om Parkash Sharma besides, from Akhnoor it was headed by Shri Harbans Bral, General Secretary, District Congress Jammu Rural. During the celebration of this occasion Shri Bansi Lal Gupta, Municipal Councilor from Gandhi Nagar, Jammu also conveyed his congratulation to the Senior Leader.
The small processions of the party workers turned into a public rally in which several leaders address the public meeting in the premises of the residence of Shri Niaz. |
