25 road projects at Rs.53 cr. for Pulwama under NABARD
Bandh seeks people’s participation in implementation of projects

Minister of State for Roads and Buildings Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh has said that with a view to improving road connectivity and upgrading the roads and bridges in Pulwama district, 26 road schemes including one bridge at a cost of Rs.53.46 crore have been sanctioned under NABARD. He said that the works are on apace in Rajpora, Pulwama and Pampore constituency at present.
Mr. Bandh while interacting with the deputation from Pulwama led by Mr. Abdul Razak Zavora who called on him here today said that the major road projects under NABARD funding include Tengpona-Pinglena-Gudra at a cost of Rs. 539.81 lakh, Drusoo-Chatripora-Pulpora road including Bandzoo-Tahab-Jandwal Shadipora and Rajmohal-Arrigam road at a cost of Rs. 486.21 lakh, Chewa Pulwama-Rohmu Kagan-Shangerpora Patrigam and Dadura Babihar road costing Rs. 480.60 lakh, Zeegam Bellow Arhbal and Patrigam Sontubag Sonasmail road Rs. 389.07 lakh, Armulla Batnoor Lasipora road costing Rs. 321.55 lakh, Sehpora-Araggam Putrigam Sontabug via Sheikhhard and Muran Deeri road with a financial involvement of Rs. 297.87 lakh, Koil-Wakharwon Renzipora to River Jehlum road including Batipora Baghipora Link road at a cost of Rs. 286.42 lakh, Pahoochakpora Shubdani Hassanvani -Begumbagh Kowseebagh road at a cost of Rs. 281.65 lakh and bridge at village Wahipora and Sonzan at a cost of Rs. 112.24 lakh.
“Rs.559.43 lakh would be spent on construction and upgradation of Astanpora-Rawatpora Chakoora-Neelora, Nownagra-Shitparraypora, Tumchinowpora-Wanpora Bangund Sether and Pulwama Payer Malpora-Nowharh Chandgam roads besides Rs.699.56 Lakh would be utilized on five roads including Gooripora – Wandhankpora, Lelhar- MohanVij, Takiya- Wagam Prichoo, Khrew-Bathan and Shahar-Wahab Shaib road,” he added.
Mr. Bandh assured the deputation that the government was alive to the problems of people especially those of rural and far-off areas adding that measures are under way to mitigate the difficulties so as to ameliorate socio-economic conditions of the people.
Referring to the demands put forth by the deputation, Mr. Bandh said that these would be looked into at proper levels by the administration for early consideration. He said that the involvement of people in the execution and monitoring of the developmental projects is must to achieve the satisfactory results on grounds.
