| Youth urged to opt for self-employment ventures | | | UDHAMPUR, FEB-25
In order to provide necessary guidelines to the educated youth of various educational institutions of Reasi tehsil of Udhampur district, the Deputy Director, Employment, Udhampur held several career counseling sessions at various places which include Government Degree College, Reasi, Government Higher Secondary School for Boys and Girls, Reasi and at GHSS Arnas and Pouni during February, 2007.
The students of these educational institutions were apprised about various state and centrally sponsored schemes like Jammu and Kashmir Self-Employment Scheme, Prime Minister’s Rozgar Yojna and other schemes of different departments meant for the unemployed educated youth to enable them to start their own income generating units according to the potential of their areas. They were motivated to opt for self-employment ventures instead of hankering after while collared jobs as no government can afford to provide government jobs to all unemployed.
The students were further informed that many educated youths who have set up their own income generating units are earning handsome income and their business was progressing by leaps and bounds with the sincere efforts put in by them.
