| Hakeem hails India, Pak decision to continue talks | | | Srinagar, August 02– Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and Chairman Peoples Democratic Front Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has hailed the recent decision of India and Pakistan to continue the dialogue for peaceful settlement of bilateral issues. In a statement the Minister described the decision as positive and imperative for strengthening the relations between the two countries. He said that due to thaw relations between the two neighbouring countries, the situation in Jammu and Kashmir State would also improve further. He said peace is must for the prosperity and development of the state. The Minister said that coalition government has initiated various measures at different levels for restoration of peace in the state besides launching a massive development programme. He also lauded the Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad for fulfilling the commitment made in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the coalition government by announcing setting up of new districts, sub-divisions and Tehsils in the state. A capable and competent administration would be provided to the people of the state at their doorsteps. |
