JKP XI defeated SSSRC by Six wickets in the exhibition match being played at GGM Science College ground here today.
SSSRC after winning the toss and elected to bat first. SSRC scored 149 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 Overs. Varun remained as the top scorer by scoring 44 runs with three fours. Bilal Rather Struck 25 runs having five balls to cross the fence Sunny scored quickly 16 runs with one splendid Six. Sourav of JKP took 3 wickets whereas Ramdayal Claimed 2 wickets. Amir, Rajesh Gill and Iftikar clinched one wicket each.
While chasing the target, JKP won the match in 21.4 overs by losing four wickets. They scored 153 runs. Shashi contributed 48 runs by hitting seven fours. Rajesh Gill struck 3 runs having five fours and huge six over long-off. Sajad Bhatt and Karan Scored 14 and 18 runs respectively for the winning team. For SSSRC, Charanjeet Singh, Bilal Rathe and Varun took one wicket each.
In another encounter, the match was ended in tie between Kary Packer XI and Verger Paint Samba. Verger paints scored 153 for loss of nine wickets in allotted 22 overs. Chasing the target, Karry Packer also able to scored 153 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 22 overs Karry Packers need one run in the last ball of the match having three wickets in hand. They lost their eighth wicket on the last ball and the exciting encounter was drawn.
Ashok Dogra and Sukh Chain Singh were the official umpires whereas Rajeev acted as scorer in the Match.
The first semifinal of winter cup Cricket Tournament will be played tomorrow between JP World and Chetna Cricket Club at 10 A.M.
