RBI Dy. Governor appreciates JK Banks micro finance programmes

Deputy Governor RBI, Usha Thorat, appreciated the Role of J&K Bank in reaching out to masses with financial solutions under its micro finance programme. She was speaking on the launching ceremony of J&K Banks micro finance Programme.
In micro finance Programme, J&K Bank has started an ambitious programme to provide hassle free financial assistance to small business, artisans, agri-business activities at cheaper rates. The Chief guest on this occasion, Usha Thorat, RBI Deputy Governor, disbursed loans with a ticket size of Rs. 2,000 to Rs one Lakh to 42 vegetable and fruit vendors on the spot. J&K Bank chairman Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu., while speaking on the occasion said that Bank shall be putting every effort to bring unranked people in the ambit of banking through its “Reaching out to all Programme”.
Usha Thorat, RBI Deputy Governor while addressing lauded the banks effort in reaching unbanked people and appreciated the model of micro finance program of the bank. The beneficiaries from this programme have to repay the loan with in stipulated time.
