| IED defused in Anantnag | | | Srinagar | Feb 26
A major tragedy was averted by Anantnag Police today when a heavy Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was destroyed on the spot this afternoon.
According to reports, on specific information Police today recovered around 15 Kgs of Explosive from a Car in Nai Basti area near Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) office, Anantnag.
The explosive was field in a Bucket and was placed along with a five Kilogram LPG Cylinder in a white car with a number plate bearing number as 3821-JK01G. Immediately the Bomb Disposal Squad of J&K police was called. The explosive was later on destroyed and the car and gas cylinder was seized by the Anantnag Police.
