| Tube Well daily wagers hold demonstration | | | JAMMU | FEB-26
Hundreds of daily wagers of Tube Well Irrigation Department today held a massive demonstration at R S Pura under the banner of PDP Labour cell to focus the attention of the government towards their long pending demands.
The demonstrators led by Sukhvinder Singh and Darshan Magotra State vice present and general secretary respectively criticized the government of its callous attitude towards the genuine demands of the employees and raised slogans in support of their demands.
Addressing the demonstrators, the party leaders stressed upon the government to fulfill the assurances given to the agitating employees by the Irrigation authorities that the wages would be given at uniform rate to the daily wagers besides release of pending wages.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion included Jashpal, Surjeet Singh, Mohinder Singh, Kaballa Singh, Pritam Singh and Rattan Lal.
