Consolidated lecturers demand extension in tenure
2/26/2007 10:48:14 PM

DODA | Feb 26 The district unit of the Consolidated Lecturers forum Bhadarwah in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Abdul Hafeez Dar has demanded re-engagement of the consolidated lecturers working in the district beyond March next.
The meeting urged upon the government to extend the tenure instead of inviting fresh applications. It has threatened to launch stir if their demand for re-engagement was not considered by the authorities.
Addressing the meeting, Dar hoped that all those candidates working on contractual basis or on adhoc basis would be regularized on the pattern of ReT teachers. He said discontinuing engagement of the consolidated lecturers would be suicidal for them as majority of them have crossed the upper age limit while some of them are at the verge of attaining the upper age limit fixed for entry into government service.
Among others who attended the meeting included Shabir Ahmed ,Ajaz Ahmed ,Janak Singh ,Maroof Ahmed ,Faheem ,Abas ,Mukhtiar ,Sajid ,Sunil Kumar ,Pawan Gupta ,Manoor Qadir ,Shafqet Ahmed and Manjeet Singh.
