| Permanent Lok-Adalat takes up174 cases, awards Rs.10 lakh compensation | | |

Permanent Lok-Adalat was held here today under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge in which 3 benches were constituted. In all 174 cases were taken up awarding a compensation of over Rs. 10 lakhs.
Bench No 1 comprising Chairman District Legal Services Authority Mr. JR Kotwal and Mr. Hari OM Singh Additional District Judge Bank cases Jammu took up 39 MACT cases and settled seven with the award of Rs 10, 35, 000 as compensation.
The Bench No 2 comprising CJM Mr. Sanjay Dhar and 3rd Additional Munsiff Jammu Miss Sandeep Kour took up 120 Municipal Cases and settled 19 cases and recovered Rs 22000 as fine.
Similarly, the Bench No 3 comprising Mr. Sanjay Parihar Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu and Mr. MR Chak Forest Magistrate Jammu took up 15 compoundable criminal cases and settled seven of these.
