| Peerzada visits residence of deceased leader | | | SRINAGAR | FEB 26
Pradesh Congress President and Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today visited residence of former MLA and Congress leader Mr.Abdul Khaliq Mir who died few days back after a short illness. Mir held the post of District Congress president Budgam during last days of his life .
Peerzada expressed heartfelt condolence to the family members of the deceased leader and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Describing him a committed politician and social worker, Minister said that Mr. Mir through out his life worked for amelioration of down trodden sections of the society. He said his death has created a vacuum in the Congress party, which is very difficult to fill.
Some other leaders including Ghulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, Fayaz Rahat and Ghulam Ahmed Malik also accompanied the minister. |
