Jammu, February 26
Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd) S. K. Sinha hosted At Home for this year’s Republic Day award winners in various disciplines.
Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Secretary Mr. C. Phunsog, DGP Mr. Gopal Sharma, heads of various security forces in J&K, ADGs Mr. Kuldeep Khuda and Mr. Madan Lal besides Corps Commander Lt Gen. T. K. Sapru were among the prominent dignitaries who attended At Home.
Governor and Chief Minister individually met every award winner and felicitated them for the honour conferred to them.
In all, 150 personnel of various services participated in the get-together which included awardees from army, BSF, JKP, CRPF, Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services besides distinguished persons from art, music and sports. |
