| Orientation programme on Kashmiri language organized | | | Srinagar, February 26 In order to ensure smooth, systematic and effective teaching of Kashmiri language in all private schools of Kashmiri speaking areas of Kashmir, district level capacity building programmes of private school teachers were started in Budgam, Pulwama, Kupwara and Srinagar districts today. While the same programme is being taken up in Anantnag and Baramulla districts from February 27, 2007. In this connection, inaugural function was held at Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothi Bagh where 220 private school teachers representing various schools of Srinagar district are being oriented. The coordinator of the training programme Mr. A.A. Hajini appreciated the cooperation extended by Jammu and Kashmir Private School Coordination Committee. Considering role of Private sector in education very important, Mr. Hajini said that with this new initiative teaching of Kashmiri language will become systematic in our school system. A galaxy of educationalists, writers, language lovers, media professionals were present on the occasion among senior officers.
