| Mangat inaugurates 73rd branch of PNB at Samba | | |

In pursuance to its objective of reaching out to a vast majority of people, Punjab national Bank opened its 73rd branch in J&K today at SAMBA. The branch was inaugurated by Mangat Ram Sharma Minister for Health and Medical Education.
Speaking at the inauguration function, Mangat Ram Sharma expressed satisfaction that PNB had improved its visibility dramatically in the state during 2006 by opening a a number of new branches.
He requested the people of Samba as well as the industrialists to avail latest banking facilities of Punjab National Bank.
Manjit Singh, Minister of State for Education and CAPD, who was Guest of Honour, thanked the bank management for their sincere efforts in economic development of the state.
A number of persons including office bearers of association of industrialists IGC Samba, Bazar Association, nodal officer, SDM, SDPO, tehsildar, BMO and prominent residents of the area were present.
Speaking at the function, Vivek Arya, zonal manager, informed the gathering that though the branch had been designated as industrial finance or SME branch meant to cater to the credit needs of industries coming to industrial growth center, Samba yet al normal banking facilities shall be provided to residents of the town, armed forces and people living in the adjoining village.
