| JKPCC hails Railway budget | | |
Jammu | Feb 27 Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has hailed the Rail Budget presented by railway minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav and described it a common man’s budget. In a joint statement issued here today PCC leaders said that the proposal of introducing 8 more Garib Raths and reducing the fair for ordinary trains would benefit the poor and middle class people. The reduction in all categories of seasonal and other railway tickets would benefit every section of the society, the statement said. The PCC leaders said that Rs. 2.725 crore sought by the Railway Minister from Union Finance Minister for new Kashmir line should be provided so that the work of laying new tracks in J&K should not hamper. The signatories to the statement include Dharam Paul Sharma. S. Parduman Singh, Yash Paul Khajuria, Amrit Malhotra, Hari Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Janak Raj Gupta, Swarn Lata, Baldev Sharma and S. Amolak Singh.
