Blind murder case worked out, two held
Deceased was having illicit relations with sisters of accused

Doda Police has claimed to have solved blind murder case of Romesh Kumar who was murdered on the intervening night of November 28-29, 2006. Two persons have also been arrested in this regard. The deceased was eliminated as he was having illicit relations with the sister of one of the accused. Moreover, sister-in-law of another accused was also having illicit relations with the deceased. Babar himself is having illicit relations with his sister-in-law.
According to reports, the body of a youth namely Romesh Kumar, son of Hari Lal of Koti Bonjwah, Kishtwar was found under mysterious condition. On this FIR no 247/ 2006 under section 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Kishtwar and thereafter SSP Doda, Manohar Singh constituted a special team to investigate the case.
After thorough investigation, two persons namely Mohd Ramzan, son of Abdul Majid of Kewa and Babar, son of Deen Mohd Pathan of Kewa Bonjwah have been arrested in this regard and both the accused confessed their involvement in the said case. They told that they executed Romesh on the grudges that the sister of Mohd Ramzan was exposed for having illicit relations with him. Moreover, Babar’s Sister in law was also having illicit relations with the deceased and Babar himself was having illicit relations with his sister-in-law.
On November 28, 2006, both the accused met in Jawalpur area and hatched the conspiracy to eliminate Romesh Kumar. On the same night both the accused ambushed the deceased and strangulated him till his death. Later on they threw the body near the soft flowing Nallah nearby fields. Thereafter, several protests were held against the killing. Meanwhile, SSP Doda has announced that Police team involved in the investigation of the case shall be suitably rewarded for exhibiting professionalism of highest order.
