| Gurezi inaugurates Veterinary hospitals Samba, Bishnah | | | JAMMU: Minister of State for Animal, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today inaugurated Block Veterinary Hospital-cum-District Lab, Samba and Veterinary Hospital Bishnah. Rs.62.50 lakhs were incurred on these buildings out of an estimated cost of Rs.96.90 lakhs. Addressing the gathering after inauguration at Samba and Bishnah, the Minister said the government would explore the possibility to introduce Live Stock Insurance in the State for the benefit of the cattle rearers. He said that the government take up to the issue of insurance of cattle with the insurance companies so that hapless villagers get succour when their precious livestock die. Mr. Gurezi said that under animal and sheep sectors several schemes have been introduced besides sufficient funds earmarked under these sectors during commencing financial year 2013-14 with an aim to create employment opportunities for the youth of the State. He appealed the people especially youth to come forward and avail benefits under various flagship programmes launched by the Centre and State Government for the upliftment of the weaker sections. At Bishnah, the Minister was apprised that 32 blocks out of 72 were updated .Mr. Gurezi directed the concerned to mention cell Numbers also in it. Earlier, the Minister inspected these newly constructed buildings and directed the hospital management to maintain cleanness in and around the hospital. MLA Bishnah, Mr. Ashwani Kumar Sharma also spoke ocasion and highlighted the policies and programmes of the government. He said animal and sheep sectors have a huge potential to create employment avenues but need is to aware general masses about the schemes and programmes of the government to the people by launching public awareness campaign. Director Animal Husbandry, Jammu also spoke on the occasion and briefed about the activities of the department. Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba, a large gathering including Sarpanches, Panches and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
