A ‘Kavi- Sammalen’ of Dogri language was organized y the ‘Nami Dogri Sanstha’ at Abhinav Theatre here today.
The Sammalen was attended by well-known Dogri poets. Chief Guest on the occasion was Sahitya Academy award winner N.D. Jamwal, while Nirmal Vinod was the Guest of honour. Other poets who recited their poems in Dogri language were Narinder Singh, Bishan Singh Dardi, Dia Rania, Dr. Anil, Shiv Dev and Surinder Singh.
While, speaking on this occasion president of Nami Dogri Sanstha, Harish Kalia said organizing a Dogri ‘ Mahila Kahani Ghosthi’ at Seminar hall of Cultural academy on August 5 in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages. He further said in connection with Independence Day a Dogri Sangeet Sandhya will be organized August 19.
