Three foreign tourists rescued

The joint team of Police, Officials of tourism and Army has rescued the three foreigners who had got stranded off at Afarvat, in Gulmarg due to heavy snow yesterday.
According to reports, three foreign nationals identified as skiers, Rogni of Norway, Guy London and Eudo of Israel had got stranded near Hafat Khud area at Afarvat while skiing. On the receipt of information, Police skiing team stationed at Gulmarg was put in service. Today morning the rescue operations were taken up again and two teams of police along with personnel of tourism, and army were pressed for rescue job. Another police team from Tangmarg was also put into service from Drang area.
The foreigners were stranded due to heavy snow in the Gulmarg and its periphery yesterday. The rescued trio of foreigners is expected to reach the Gulmarg late in the evening.
