DIET, Poonch celebrated National Science Day by organizing Distt. Level Science seminar on the topic ‘Science in the service of mankind’ for the masters/teachers of Poonch Distt.
A Number of masters, teachers from different schools of the Distt participated in the seminar. H L Razdan, Principal DIET highlighted the aim and objective of organizing this seminar, he said that the present era is the era of science and technology. Advances made in communication, production, medicine, space and technology are the few examples through which the lives of most people has changed.
Manjeet Kour, master, Govt. High School, Bandi Chachian secured Ist position, Rajni Dogra, teacher, Sanatan Dharm Sabha High School, Poonch secured IInd Position and the third position were shared by Ravinder Singh, teacher, Govt. High School, Purani, Poonch and Satbir Singh, teacher, Guru Harkishan Public School. Other who spoke on the occasion were Vijay Khajuria (HOD), Gopal Krishan (HOD), Lal Hussain (HOD), and S. Narinder Singh (Sr. Lectt.).
