| 33 pc reservation demanded for women | | | Jammu | Feb 28 To listen to the problems of the women folk in particular and people in general, JKPCC Mahila congress today held a public meeting at Bantalab. The meeting was presided by Sakhiya Bano, Distt. Sec, Mahila congress, where Shameema Iqbal, Gen. Sec. JKPCC Mahila Congress, was the chief guest. Nearly about 500 to 600 ladies took part in the said meeting. In her address, Shameema reiterates the demand of 33% reservation for women in Assembly, parliament and other local bodies as well as panchayat. She further said that coalition govt. is doing yeoman job in the state under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad, but there are certain areas which needs an immediate attention. She also showed concern over the condition of the road in Bantalab and other areas, particularly in Poonch colony. Others who were present on the occasion include Vijay Kumar, Abdul Khaliq, Gabeen Akhtar and others
