| Khajuria, Sofi lead stranded passengers’ rally | | | JAMMU FEB-28- State BJP President Ashok Khajuria and provincial president Kashmir Sofi Yousuf led a massive protest rally of the stranded passengers of Kashmir Valley at Indira Chowk here today. Addressing the protestors, Khajuria came down heavily on the coalition government for not taking effective measures to provide shelter, medicines and food to the stranded passengers. He said even after closure of Highway for the last one week, no one from the government bothered to enquire about the welfare of these unfortunate people who are living in worst conditions. The BJP Chief asked the government to wake up and make immediate arrangements for their travel by air and till then they should be provided every required facility. He assured these people that BJP would take up the issue with the administration to ensure that they are not made to suffer any more and reach their destinations at the earliest. Sofi Yousuf, who had flown from Kashmir to enquire about the stranded passengers, said that he was shocked to see the condition of his Kashmiri brethren stranded here due to closure of highway. The other party leaders from Kashmir, who also joined the protest rally included Noor Abdi and Malik Mushtaq.
