| Commercial Tax staff bid adieu to AC | | | JAMMU FEB 28 Officers and staff of Commercial Taxes Department bid adieu to S K Koul Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes on his superannuation here today.
At an impressive function organized to bid farewell to Koul, the speakers appreciated his meritorious services, especially the successful implementation of VAT in the state and its dissemination to the remotest possible areas through interactive sessions with public at large.
Koul, who stared his career as Lecturer in English in 1984, qualified the Combined Service Examination conducted by the PSC and was appointed as Excise and Taxation Officer. Later on, he was inducted into KAS and elevated to the post of Joint Registrar Cooperatives and held different assignments like Deputy Commissioner in Excise Department and Sales Tax and rose to the rank of Additional Commissioner.
